I have been working hard refurbishing my workshop and preparing my bikes for next season. My engines have all been overhauled and are ready to go.

I am looking forward to Sundays Christmas Cracker meeting at Scunthorpe - weather permitting - but the weather has got to improve a lot between now and Sunday 27th. So lets hope the sun shines and melts all the snow, the meeting gets underway  and there is a good turn out of spectators.

A big thank you to all my sponsors, mechanics  and the people who backed and supported me in the 2009 season.  Lastly I would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

If I don't see you at Sundays meeting see you in 2010.

I am very pleased to announce that I have agreed to stay with the Scunthorpe Scorpions for a second year and race in 2010.  I have enjoyed my racing at Scunthorpe this year and it is not too far to travel to a home meeting. I have had other clubs interested in signing me but I am very very pleased to stay with Scunthorpe.

Scunthorpe is a good team to belong to and has good promoters with Rob and Gail Godfrey.  I am pleased that Richard Hollingsworth has agreed to stay on as Team Manager for the Scorpions and I wish him all the best  in his new appointment.

Hopefully I can keep progressing on with the sport as it is my ambition to be in the Elite League one day.  I am enjoying my racing and that is the main thing.  I  can promise  all  Scunthorpe Supporters that I will give 110% and more to the racing and look forward to a new speedway season.

This season has finally come to an end - I have enjoyed riding for Scunthorpe and have made new friendships.

I class the 2009 season as being a good one for me and upping my away average in the Premier League.  I have had about 85 matches this year and not too many major machinery problems.

I have ridden in 3 different countries - Poland, Germany and Czech Republic and have finally won an individual meeting. In fact winning 2 individual meetings in the last month of the season has been really great boost for me.  I won the Mildenhall Individual meeting a couple of weeks ago and on the last day of the speedway season won the open meeting at Weymouth - the Halloween Trophy.

I would like to thank all my sponsors for their help this year, not just financially but for having the faith in me to progress.  I would also like to thank everyone involved in the Lambert Racing Team - that includes mechanics, family, sponsors and supporters.  A big thank you to you all.

I was disappointed at coming joint 5th last night in the National League Riders Championship at Rye House.

It was the usual  thing I don't really do very well when riding Rye House but as ever I did my best.

Not many fixtures left at the moment and some of the remaining fixtures have been changed so please check the dates of fixtures on my website or on the clubs site.

I have been chosen to ride for GB U21 v Australasia at Poole on Wednesday night so I am hoping for a good meeting. That gives me 3 meetings on the trot with Redcar away on Thursday and Scunthorpe Friday.

See you soon

After having more x-rays on my injured hand this week I am pleased to say that nothing is broken. The pain and swelling is due to tissue and ligament damage.  I am having a few sessions of physiotherapy and the swelling is starting to go down.  Hopefully be back to normal soon .

I have had a busy week and it was great to return to my old camp of King's Lynn and ride for them Wednesday and to be top scorer with 13 points.  I rode really well for Workington at Sheffield on Thursday and scored 5 points but it should have been more. On Friday I had a bit of an off night for Scunthorpe getting 2 wins and 2 lasts and then it got worse the next night at Birmingham when I again rode for King's Lynn.  I laid my bike down in heat 1 to avoid Darcy and then ended up in A & E at Boston Hospital. I injured my hand badly and damaged tissue and tendons.

Today was the final straw crashing out again with Topinka and I will be going to the Fitzwilliam Hospital in Peterborough tomorrow morning (Tuesday) for more x-rays and examination.

I will keep you updated.

Sorry I haven't updated my news section lately but I have been busy.

On my free days I have been doing a bit of trucking for my dad now that I have got my HGV licence.

I am enjoying my time with Scunthorpe and have upped my away average which is good progress.  The season is going by so quickly and has gone as good as I had hoped and I hope to keep improving year by year.

I am getting regular calls from Poland but because I have English commitments I physically cant fit them in.  I want to ride again for Lublin but with my fixtures it has not been possible.  I hope to ride for them again next month.

Tomorrow night I have been asked to guest for Belle Vue at Ipswich and that gives me more experience into the Elite League.

Friday night I have a double header meeting at  Scunthorpe so come along and make some noise.

See you bye.

I was very pleased to be asked to ride for Ipswich Witches tonight in the Elite League.   I did my best and scored 2+1.  This is what I need now a few bookings to come from the Elite League to help me improve and bring me on a bit further.

I have a busy weekend coming up starting at Edinburgh tomorrow night, followed by the Premier League 4s at Workington on Saturday and rounding the weekend off at Glasgow on Sunday.
See you bye

I am pleased that I had a good score at Scunthorpe last week when I scored 13+3.  I have been to see Michael Lee who does my engines and he has given me a few tips which now seem to be paying off.

I have changed a few things on the bike and it seems to have worked. Hopefully I can get double figures every match now.

See you bye

Team GB Under 21 were disappointed not to have progressed further in the World Team Cup at Abensberg, Germany but with only 4 riders out of 5 to start with and then losing Lewis Bridger through injury during the meeting we had an uphill struggle.  Anyway it was an exciting experience which I wouldn't have missed.

I seem to have been  having a bit of trouble with my gating just lately so I am looking to find a few Elite League bookings to 'sharpen me up' with the Elite League boys.  I have had 2  good 16 point scores in the NL recently but I want to put another 1 or 2 points at least on my home and especially my away scores in the Premier League.

Tonight Scunthorpe are home to Birmingham and away at Stoke tomorrow night.  Next week (Wednesday) Scunthorpe are riding at  my old club Kings Lynn so I expect to see a lot of you fans there cheering and making a lot of noise.  Come to the pits and say 'hello'.  I am also riding at KL the following week in the Ashley Jones Memorial Meeting.

See you there.

After a hectic weekend of riding 5 matches in 4 days I have got my bikes ready for Germany at the weekend.  After riding at Scunthorpe Friday evening I leave for Abensberg, Germany on Saturday to ride for Great Britain  Under 21in the World Team Cup.  It is practice on Sunday and the meeting is held on Monday which I believe is a bank holiday in Europe.

I am really looking forward to this and have turned down 2 meetings this weekend in Germany to ride in Abensberg.

Lets hope the Brits can pull it off.

See you.

I have just got back and can say that I thoroughly enjoyed the experience of riding in the World Under 21 Quarter Final round at Mseno, Czech Republic.  Obviously I am disappointed not to have qualified for the next round but the competition was keen and it was a great weekend.

My next meeting is the northern tour next weekend with Edinburgh and Berwick and a home meeting on the Bank Holiday Monday. In a couple of weeks I am riding in Germany but more details of this to follow.

24.4.09
I rode in the British Under 21 Final at Lakeside tonight and came 7th. I was disappointed to miss the semi final by one point but nevertheless I enjoyed the meeting.  It was my first time riding at Lakeside.

By finishing in the top 7 of the meeting means that I qualify to ride in the World Under 21 Quarter Final round.

I have drawn to represent England and ride at Mseno in the Czech Republic round on 16th May.  So I am really looking forward to that.

My next meeting for Scunthorpe is at Stoke tomorrow night so hopefully see some of you there.

See you bye

What a hard earned 6 points against my old team the Kings Lynn Stars.  My first ride was hard fought with the Kings Lyn pairing riding together then Schramm locked up and I dived under Henry on the last bend for a win.

My second ride was a disaster.   I was on a tactical ride in the black and white helmet when the rocker arm in my engine snapped on the start line.  I was gutted as I was really up for a good meeting tonight. I changed to my second bike which was not quite so fast.

My next meeting is away at Somerset on Good Friday and home at Scunthorpe on Easter Monday. See you there.

See you bye.

I am really happy tonight and enjoying my speedway. I seem to have got the bike set ups right now and things are going better.

I have got a really busy month coming up  with the Final of the British Under 21 at Lakeside on 24th April  and of course I am very much looking forward to Wednesday night when Scunthorpe are away at Kings Lynn.  This will be a cracking match so make sure you are there.

See you bye

I had a really good time  at Peterborough's Press and Practice day yesterday. I met all the other riders and the promotion. I really enjoyed it and I am pleased to be a part of the Peterborough team.

My bikes felt good and went really well and I was pleased that some of my sponsors had turned out to support me. Please look at the gallery where you will find some photos of the day, thanks to Kevin Gipp for giving me permission to use them on this website.

I am really looking forward to my first meeting of the season at Scunthorpe on Friday when we meet Sheffield and then go to Sheffield on Sunday for the return leg.

For me the season cannot start soon enough. I hope to see you all at Scunthorpe supporting the Scorpions.

See you bye.

I am very pleased to hear that I have been seeded through to the final of the British Under 21 Final to be held at Lakeside on the 24th April.

This will possibly be my last opportunity as I will be 21 next year.

I collected my engines this week and am all ready to go.  My bikes are now ready for Poland.  If the snow disappears on the Polish track I am hoping to go to Lublin for a practice meeting on 28th/29th March.

I am going to Kings Lynn today to get a skid after the Southern Track meeting.

See you bye

I am currently working on my fitness training.  I am  under the wing of Corporal Richard Nauyokas who was in the TV programme 'Bad Lads Army'.  He still shouts as much as he did on TV but his motivation is brilliant. I feel it is really doing me good and setting me up for the start of the season.

I am hoping to go to Scunthorpe on Sunday and get some practice on the bike.  My bikes are almost ready and I am just waiting for the new covers, engine warmers, etc to arrive.

I am hoping to go over to Poland in the next 10 days or so to take my bikes over for the start of the new season.

See you bye

15.2.09
I am desperately trying to get a practice somewhere soon as I am fed up with all this horrible weather.

I am getting all my bikes together and preparing for the season to start.

Last week  I passed my theory test and hazard perception tests for HGV driving.  So now I am going driver training for a week so hopefully soon I will be a trucker and I can work for my dad.  My dad says its payback time!!!!!   lol.

See you bye

On Sunday morning at 3am I left home to go to Lublin, Poland with my father via Stanstead.   We got to the hotel where I met with other riders for a press conference and to sign my contract.  I went to look at the track but it was frozen solid and covered in snow and ice.

There was about 300 fans present, and I met the President of Lublin. I did a television interview with an interpreter present and this was broadcast on Polish TV Sunday evening.

I would like to thank Karol Baron and Rafal Wilk for collecting us from the airport.  Also a bit thank you to Pawel St.Upski for looking after us and being our interpreter.

The biggest thank you must to to Slawomir Mikos of MSJ Speedway Promotions who is my agent in Poland and organised the whole trip for me.  MSJ Speedway Promotions link can be found on my website in the links section.

See you bye

I have had a very busy week getting my equipment ready for England and Poland racing.  I still have a lot to do as I am building two new bikes.

I am flying out to Poland on Sunday 1st February to attend the press day at Lublin.  I am really excited about this as this is my first foreign club and I am looking forward to meeting the promotion and all the fans.

See you bye

Yesterday I signed a contract via email to ride for Polish Club Lublin.  This is a dream come true and I cannot believe the way that things are going at the moment.  I just hope its not all coming too soon but it is an offer that I just cannot turn down, financially and career wise.

I raced in Tarnow last year and a scout was there from Lublin.   He was impressed with my performance and this is where it has all come from.

I have now got Scunthorpe, Peterborough and Lublin as three new clubs for the 2009 season.  I go to bed every night and cannot stop dreaming and waiting for the season to start.

See you, bye

I have today achieved a dream and ambition I have had since I was a 9 year old boy.  I have signed to ride at no. 8 for Elite league Peterborough.

When I was younger, and Zdenek Tesar lived with us, he rode for Peterborough and for years I went to every Peterborough speedway match to watch him with my parents.   I have always said that I wanted to ride for Peterborough Panthers.

I remember being in the pits with him and my dad each week and feeling excited just to be there.  I obviously learnt a lot about speedway from Tesar during  the years he spent with us.

The management have told me that they like my ambition and drive and they hope to feed me into the team as and when they think I am ready. I now have two new teams to concentrate on this year - riding for Scunthorpe in the Premier League - and this  rules me out of any riding in the National League.

I hope I can repay the management of both Scunthorpe and Peterborough by scoring plenty points.

I have got to keep my machinery in tip top condition so if anyone would like to sponsor a young up and coming British rider please contact me via the website.

See you,  bye
